"I recently visited Hope Bilingual Academy and can testify that this school is truly bringing HOPE to the children it serves. I was so impressed by the academic standards and the love given to each student fortunate enough to be there. The students are given opportunities to learn and grow and to know that they can have a different life than the poverty that surrounds them. My deepest respect and admiration for the Director, Patricia, and her husband, and the teachers who sacrifice to bring this Hope and Light to these kids."

Doesn't it sound exciting the impact that this school is making on the children and families in this community? Hope Bilingual Academy wants to continue propelling kids into a realm of educational and life possibilities that they never dared to dream before...but they need YOU.
You could sign up to provide more resources for the education of these kids, be part of the sponsorship program, or become a volunteer at any time.
The question is often asked of why not establish the school in one of the nearby cities, where the likelihood of more support could be found with better incomes and more businesses to partner with, and where the struggle to finance this project could be far less of a reality. Despite this opposition, though, Patricia (HBA founder/director) chose the rural area of the community La Concepcion because "impoverished kids deserve education, too."
With such a need in the community and compassion from the staff to enroll more students, HBA extended registration from 50 to 63 students this academic year. Thanks to the support of sponsors, it is possible to provide free and private education to kids that in no way could afford it otherwise. HBA aims to continue impacting the community La Concepcion by furthering the education of these kids in high school.
Empowering kids and teenagers (many of whom have learning, physical, and mental special needs) is the start of a new life for not only the students but their families as well. With HBA being a bilingual school, this community has realized that English is a powerful tool in today’s world. Many students arrive at Hope from attending a public school with complete illiteracy, but after a few short weeks of attention, love, and a promise of hope, they begin to progress in amazing ways.
